Another Tempting Apple
The iPhone 3G S -
June 10th, 2009
Because technology moves at breakneck speed, and because too much money is never enough, those crafty, cash-coveting cretins at Apple are at it again with—SURPRISE—a newer, faster, and more powerful iPhone. Yes, just as you have finally gotten cozy with your 3G, the innovative bastards have a tempting new version coming out June 19th, the 3G S! Blowing minds since its debut in 2007, Apple’s iPhone continues to impress with each iteration. While it certainly has changed the way we communicate, has it made the quality of that communication better, or merely spawned a generation of speed-thumbing introverts hypnotized by high tech hubris?

Designed by Rudy Krolopp, the Motorola DynaTac 8000X was the world’s first commercially available cell phone. First released in 1984, the phone weighed two pounds and was affectionately known as "the brick." The cost was $3,995. It took ten years to develop and had a half-hour talk time before needing to be recharged. The advantage it had over today’s phones? It was nearly impossible to lose.
