Liam Gallagher Announces Return -
October 28th, 2009
Nearly eight short weeks after his older brother Noel unexpectedly quit Oasis, lead vocalist and lager-lapping limey Liam Gallagher has dusted himself off and announced he is eager to get back onstage to be an obnoxious prick without him. One of the most successful bands to ever come out of England, Oasis was an international phenomenon in the mid- to late-90s, but years of the Gallagher brothers bickering and brawling forced their music to take a backseat to their public meltdowns. We will certainly miss the meltdowns.

They say never work with children and animals. No one mentioned fucking morons, did they?

noun. 1. English slang term for jerk: has implications of pompousness, snobbery, stupidity. 2. See Noel discussing the British version of American Idol.

In September 1996, Oasis recorded an episode of MTV Unplugged at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Combative, drunk, and complaining of a sore throat, Liam backed out of the performance leaving his brother—the main songwriter—to sing his own songs. Just a few minutes into the performance, a heckler was spotted in the crowd drinking and smoking from the balcony. It was Liam.
