The Censoring of Craigslist  -

In the old days, a lonely fellow looking for companionship, interesting conversation, and a spirited face-sitting session could fulfill his quest by logging onto Craigslist. However, after ironically being hassled by a big dick (Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal), Craigslist has slapped a "censored" sign over its own "adult services" section, hoping to stem criticism and to possibly make a statement.

"Hooray!" say critics who claim Craigslist promotes prostitution. "Boo-hiss," say prostitutes who were hoping to promote themselves. Is this move by Craigslist a step in the right direction, or a dangerous move that sends innocent, horny johns back to strolling the mean streets for a thrill?

Of Craigslist's estimated $122 million revenue for 2010 comes from their "adult services" section. It costs $10 to post an "adult services" ad. Add that up, friends, and it comes out to a lot of freaky, felching, fisting folks looking for a frolicsome Friday.

Quote

Grown men should not be having sex with prostitutes unless they are married to them.

Jerry Falwell, Crossfire, May 17, 1997

Marry a hooker? Are you insane, Jerry? Forget the diseases, they'd never be home to cook and clean.

Fact

In 2009, Craigslist initiated a manual screening process for all adult service ads in which a licensed attorney reviews all verbiage for compliance. The implementation of the screening caused nearly 725,000 questionable ads to be rejected in the first year, per Jim Buckmaster, Craigslist CEO. Critics still feel it is not enough.

Their heads might explode if they checked out Adult Friend Finder.

The List

Craigslist – Far More than Sex

Fake Girlfriend Photos Dude needs to convince his parents that he has rebounded nicely from a break-up.
Beard Mentor What else is there really to say here? Homie needs some knowledge laid down by Grizzly Adams.
Slightly Used Horse This looks to be an equine challenge for anyone. The horse whisperer might need to yell here.
1,500 Live Ladybugs Captain Stoney and his sidekick, Second Hand, get blasted and buy, well, you get it. Looks like they were trying to unload them humanely.
Relationship Advice for Those into Films of a Prurient Interest Okay, we had to include one on sex. We are TTP after all. This is hysterical, and, depending where you work, may not be safe to open while clocked in.

Human trafficking, exploitation of minors, and violating anyone's human rights are beyond bogus. Live ladybug sales? Friends, that is just plain weird. Should one self-censor? Of course, ask our moms. Should one be censored by the government? Never in a million years.

In the meantime… who's got a ruler
