He asked for a crate of Guinness to be delivered to his house while he thought about it. The next day the Guinness reps came back and asked if he had come up with anything. 'Yes,' he replied 'Guinness makes you drunk.' Please don't tell me that is an apocryphal story, I want to carry on believing that regardless.
