B-Movie Babes – A TTP Appreciation

The budgets are low, the plots preposterous and the dialogue is always laughable. We dig obscure European art-house films as much as the next guy, but like zucchini quiche a little goes a long way. The same can be said for stale tortilla chips gasping beneath a blanket of artificial nacho cheese accented with grey canned jalapeno slices. Just like B-movies they’re perfect late night slop.

Here are a few of our favorite B-movie broads and one of their funky, freaky films.

Linnea Quigley – Passed the LAPD exam in the 90’s thinking she might get into law enforcement, but ultimately decided to stick with acting.

Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers (1988) – "They charge an arm and a leg"

Elizabeth Kaitan – Born in Hungary, moved to the states when she was 8 yrs. old. Elizabeth was a successful model in New York City in the 80’s before becoming an actress.

Roller Blade Warriors: Taken By Force (1989) “Heaven and Hell on wheels.”

Tiffany Shepis – An east coast native, she starred in numerous music videos before heading to LA.

Bonne & Clyde vs. Dracula (2008) – “When gangsters meet vampires there’s bloody hell to pay.”

Brooke Lewis – Grew up in Philly, did a little off-Broadway then rolled out to LA and created Philly Chick Pictures.

Slime City Massacre (2010) “The Brain is back!”

Sybil Danning – This Austrian born bombshell was a B-movie action heroine in the 1980’s.

Malibu Express (1985) – “Packing heat from Texas to Malibu Beach!”

Tracy Coogan – Irish knockout moved to New York City after high school to pursue acting. After doing some theater work she began making a name for herself in B-movies.

Zombie Honeymoon (2004) – “In sickness and in health”

Michelle Tomlinson – Was originally interested in production work in high school, then decided to star in front of the camera while studying acting in college.

George’s Intervention (2009) – “9 out of 10 interventions are successful… This is the 1”

Linda Blair – Starred in the blockbuster the Exorcist, dated Rick James then went to the B’s.

Hell Night (1981) – “Pray for Day”

Shannon Tweed – Has two children with Gene Simmons who for some bizarre reason still won’t marry her, or actually maybe she won’t marry him.

Scandalous (1999) – “Forbidden Pleasure. Reckless Desire. Winner Takes All.”

Barbara Crampton – Legit TV actress that has starred on a few soaps as well guested on a prime time sitcom or two. In spite of the success she still finds time for the occasional B.

Trancers II (1991) – “Time waits for no man… unless his name is JACK DETH!”

Debbie Rochon – A mainstay in the genre. Debbie has appeared in nearly 20 films in 2010 alone.

Bikini Bloodbath Carwash (2008) – “Caution: Slippery when slashed.”

Dona Speir – Donna was Playboy Playmate of the Month for March 1984 and fun to watch in the early Sidaris films.

Hard Ticket to Hawaii – “Pay the prices for paradise”

One B-movie babe not pictured: Julie Strain. She deserved her own TTP Issue.
