Academic cheating.u00a0 I was the person that people copied their math homework from.u00a0 Did that many times.u00a0 I only cheated on a test once.u00a0 I got caught, too.u00a0 I was in 2nd grade.u00a0 I had handed in a paper late and had it, graded, in my desk.u00a0 The test was that day and I used that paper to get the correct answers.u00a0 The teacher caught me and failed my test.u00a0 I never tried to cheat during a test again.u00a0 Worst part was that had I not used the cheat sheet, I still would have gotten all of the answers right.u00a0 I was just looking for the easy way out.u00a0 I was lucky to have learned from that mistake.u00a0 I’ll never know ifu00a0 choosing not going to college was a mistake or not.u00a0 Oh, well, you only have one life to live and if you do it right, that’s more than enough.

As for the teachers cheating for their students, I think we can blame “No Child Left Behind” for that.u00a0 The kids should be forced to stay back a year if they haven’t learned.u00a0 Not every person has the same intellect.u00a0 They should not be expected to learn everything at the same rate or at the same ages.u00a0 The standardized tests measure the wrong things in the wrong ways.u00a0 Since the worth of the teachers is measured by the success of the students on these tests, of course they choose to help the kids cheat!
