    Farmer’s markets were once the way to get good veggies cheap.u00a0 Now they are the best way to pay a fortune for good veggies.u00a0 How times change. . .u00a0 At least the veggies are still good.

    I noticed that too… seems like some farmers market are just trying to be tourist traps.u00a0 Yes, the produce is good, but I find it unsettling that locally grown stuff is often pricier than the produce trucked in to your local chain supermarket.

    And often times it is the same produced that is trucked into the chain stores.u00a0 Look for the roadside vendors who have a pickup truck and a plywood platform to display on.u00a0 They generally have their own, locally grown produce and don’t try to rob you.u00a0 They abound in my state this from late spring until mid fall.u00a0
