Great show, still better than most of the cop shows that will still be aired. Certainly better than SVU and CI with the current cast.

I think the reason L&O lost viewership was the writers started making political statements through the characters. People watch the show for entertainment, not to be preached to about political viewpoints. Too bad, it was a great show. The idiocy of NBC, under Immelts inept 'leadership' is the reason for the demise of the show. That's why I quit watching.

If it wasn't popular why were there so many spinoffs?

I love a Law & Order marathon. It's a great way to zone out for a few hours. At least we'll still have those.

I love the show so much, the theme song is my ring tone. Everyone smiles when they hear it. It is such a recognizable song/sound?

L&O, SVU and CI are all favorites of mine. The only one I didn't like was the court one that, apparently, no one else liked either.
