Thinking About … LeBron James

uhm, jordan didn't stay with the bulls for his entire career, unless you mean before his second retirement…just saying.

As a greater Cleveland area resident I kind of hope LeBron goes. As a city (and it's immediate inner-ring suburbs) we've staked our economic future on the fact he brings millions of dollars downtown every season. That's not a sustainable idea for the future of a city that's a ghost town and the surrounding suburbs which are feeling the pain of this recession. If he doesn't feel committed enough by now to say that he wants to stay, good riddance. On the other hand, I don't feel blame him for wanting to go to the East Coast and play for NJ or NYC. Lots of Clevelanders would get out of this city if they could.

As a Cleveland fan I'm used to having shitty sports teams. But it sure as hell would be nice to win a championship every once in a while. So- I'm kind of ambivalent. I just want it to be over so it stops dominating our news and every goddamn conversation I hear.

LE BRON IS PROBABLY A NICE KID. THE PROBLEM IS PAYING THESE KIDS SO MUCH MONEY IS OBSCENE. THEY ARE LIKE THE GREEDY CEO'S WHO ALWAYS WANT MORE WHILE OTHERS LIVE IN POVERTY OR JUST MAKE IT. THAT IS MORALLY WRONG.SIGNED A FORMER COACH AT THE H.S LEVEL. RON

I heard that the league is willing to wave the max +5% of his current salary rule (meaning he could make as much money as he wanted with no cap) if he signs on with the New St. Louis NBA team starting up this next season…

You can buy a basketball TEAM. See USA olympics…

I firmly believe that the way Lebron is currently playing, he will never win a ring. He suffocates his team. If I held the ball 20 of the 24, and either forced a shot or passed, I'm obviously going to have the most points and most assists. The sad thing is, when you catch the ball with 3 or 4 secs left, and either make it or miss, you'll either give him the assist or you're suddenly an incompetent player. And if he sets out to make as much money as he can, that limits the team on surrounding him with other good players. Dude is so overrated.

    Lebron who?

Yeah, we were considering before his bogus retirement, baseball stint then comeback. That and we completely forgot he played for that shitheel of a team. You passed the test. Nice work.
