Thinking About … Living Off the Grid

Every time you look around, another company that is entrusted with investments/retirement accounts (in my case a 401 K plays a big role) has screwed hell out of its investors. u00a0This week…..J.P. Morgan. u00a0We may not want to live off the grid, but we may be forced to. u00a0Isn’t it strange that the members of Congress have as much built in protection and security as they do? u00a0All we can hope for is that those crooks are caught with their hands in the cookie jars, or their dorks in the wrong person. u00a0Notice I did not say women……..got to treat Barney Frank with the same respect as I do that piece of trash, John Edwards. u00a0So, what have our elected officials given us? u00a0A staggering, STAGGERING debt; massive social security cuts; uncertain health care for the elderly…….including our Veterans; questionable national security for our future generations; indiscriminate social spending (there are plenty of citizens who need that support, but far too many who should not qualify and don’t deserve it); loss of much of our National Pride…..and on and on. u00a0After a while, “dropping out” looks kind of inviting……but survival is much easier said than done. u00a0Hmmmm, maybe the answer is for us to get elected to Congress!
