  • BNW

Just FYI, the mako shark was listed as #7 in the top ten…it just used a different name in the heading:nThe short fin shark is known for its sharp and pointy noise. Short fin sharks fall under the category of large mackerel sharks. Along with the closely related long fin mako (Isurus paucus), short fins are dangerous sharks species that are also commonly referred to as a u201cmako sharku201d.

I’m pretty sure that the WHALE shark is bigger than the Great White. Makos jump into boats a lot, and often get themselves off. Poor showing today – new writer?

  • Dr. Pretentious

Per agreed upon journalistic standards at TTP HQ – “if a fish goes by a different name in the title entry of a numbered list, then it shall be decreed said fish shall go by that name.” Actually, I’m thrilled someone read the links today.

Per Wikipedia, the largest found whale shark is 41.50 ft. Thankfully, they are not aggressive towards people, as they feed mostly on plankton! Pheeew! So, the Great White is indeed still the “largest” among the scary, man-eating sharks! =D
