Thinking About … Marijuana

As Daniel Tosh so eloquently put it, I wish they’d just legalize it so the potheads wouldn’t have anything to bitch about!

I am female, 64, and have never been a pot smoker. I still am in favor of legalizing Miss Mary, for a number of reasons. It can be taxed to put money in our pockets instead of SA’s. It can be regulated so you know what you’re getting. It will free up law enforcement to focus on dangerous criminals instead of the guy going home from work with a joint and a chocolate bar to relax in front of the TV with. And no, I don’t want someone who is holding a string that their head is floating at the end of to take care of me in ICU. I don’t want someone who is drunk in that position, either. Work is work. Recreation is recreation. People who already know that will still know it after legalization.

Does anyone find it interesting that this page was sponsored by and alcohol advertizement?

When I got high on a regular basis, only folks worked Saturday morning overtime were the pot heads. We did it to support our habit, well, I did it because that’s where all my customers were. Now I’m ” RESPONSIBLE” adult that has a job that performs random drug test, but I’ll retire in another twelve years, and restart the habit.

Cloudyskies1 — Perfectly stated! How ridiculous was that quote about a nurse caring for you while high?? The first thing I thought was, “Well I wouldn’t want her to be drunk either”.

Free the weed!!!!!!rnrnHopefully California starts the ball rolling in the right direction. The laws surrounding its use shouldn’t be any different than those for alcohol…don’t do it if you are under age, don’t do it when you are driving, don’t do it at work, don’t do it while opperating heavy machinery, etc.rnrnI can’t see how this wouldn’t be a huge boost for the economy. Farmers would have a new crop to grow, smoke shops would be a new business, byproducts could be used for clothing, cooking, etc (already happening), and tax money would roll in hand over fist. Sure people could grow their own, but people brew their ouw beer too.

Legalize it! Buy American! Just say no to the cartels!

    My first thought too, Brent.
