Thinking About … Political Futility

“Do you think Congress’ unwillingness to work with Obama has any unconscious racial underpinnings?”nnInteresting question in your above poll.u00a0 Any congressional opposition to Obama is not racial… those congressmen and congresswomen are just doing what they were elected to do, which is stop the Obama/Pelosi/Reid madness.u00a0 I’m somewhat surprised by theu00a0 55/45 split in the response.u00a0 I thought TTP readers were more enlightened and able to see through the race-card stunt that Obama’s administration continually pulls.

I agree that it is notu00a0a racial problem.u00a0 The problem is that all of our representatives are looking carefully at their own checkbooks and not at what is really needed for this country.u00a0 Their concern is where they will get the most backing and then they try not to piss off those incharge of that income.u00a0 It has nothing at all to do with race.nnIf you are concerned about political madness, I don’t wish to replace Obama/Peloxi/Reid with Republicans who think it is a good idea to keep a woman from getting an abortion to save her own life.u00a0 I don’t thinku00a0a group of Republicans who think Mountaintop Removal Mining is a good idea would be a good replacement.u00a0 I will not vote for a person who thinks that a corporation is a person.nnThere is madness on both sides of the aisle.u00a0 I’m favoring the one that does less damage.nnP.S.u00a0 I am registered as an Independent, not a Democrat.u00a0 There is plenty that the Democrats stand far that I do not.

Kelly, I think you are an intelligent, tree hugging, liberal with an all to idealistic outlook on the matters we face.u00a0 I mean no disrespect to you, but the reality is quite plain…..not simple….plain.u00a0 You have greatly over exaggerated the abortion matter and “mountaintop removal mining.”u00a0 The abortion matter is not viewed by all conservatives as you explained it.u00a0 Just as there has been abuse of our natural resources, there has been abuse of late term abortion as a means of birth control.u00a0 Also, abuse ofu00a0welfare, political cronyism, and on and on.u00a0 I respect a woman’s rights to save her own life, that is a no brainer.u00a0 I do not respect those who have inflated our welfare roles by simply giving birth to children that they do not care for, nor provide for.u00a0 That madness has to stop.u00a0 I have been in medical investigations for over 31 years.u00a0 I have seen the abuse of late term abortion many times.u00a0 I am talking about viable lives being brought to a sudden end by abortion and the crushing of the babies skull.u00a0 There is a big difference between an embryo and a viable infant’s life.u00a0 Why is it that there are thousands of children born every day to mothers who will not take responsibility to raise and care for the child, but willu00a0draw upon the welfare coffers to support everything but that child.u00a0 In the case of rape, incest, and endangering the life of the mother I can see your point.u00a0 But those are not the mothers you are referring to.u00a0 Late term abortion often comes about as a last minute decisionu00a0in matters of convenience.u00a0They are not the “professional baby machines” who spit out childrenu00a0as a source of income.u00a0 Theseu00a0women could have practiced simple birth control or restraint….but did not.u00a0 The late termers are those that don’t want to be burdened with another child.u00a0 Frankly, I am rather tired ofu00a0my tax dollarsu00a0going to raise the unwanted children.u00a0 Lets try something different for a while.u00a0 Letsu00a0giveu00a0the baby machinesu00a0the choice of birth control and responsibility, perioid!u00a0No DAMN welfare…. and then see what happens.u00a0 We will never change that segment of society and you know it.u00a0u00a0As a result of irresponsible motherhood, we will continue to see major crimes escalate and our Country continue to be pulled down in the process. u00a0Natural resources……. we are beyond freaking windmills and automobiles that run on peanut oil.u00a0 If we don’t take some advantage of our own natural resources we will only continue to nurse off of the teat of the Middle East and the Oil Cartel.u00a0 The choice is ours.u00a0 I will vote for one of theu00a0CLOWNS who ends up asu00a0Obama’s opposition.u00a0 I don’t care if it is Donald Trump, the Newt, oru00a0that idiot Jesse Ventura.u00a0 Anything will be better.u00a0
