We want to know what you "think" about. These short "yes/no/don't care" surveys provide another way for TTP readers to learn, share, and blast off.

Thinking About … ScarJo

so TP, you believe it is okay for some one to hack your phone/computer and put private information about you into the public sphere? you do not care that doing so is highly illegal?u00a0nni generally like your humour but this isnt amusing. yes she is hot, but she did not go to the FBI because of the photos themselves but because he privacy was invaded, her computer/ phone hacked – both of which are ILLEGAL.u00a0

  • Chris@TTP

Wade – Please point out where we said it was okay to hack phones and computers? u00a0NOWHERE in today’s TP was anything like that remotely mentioned. u00a0nI would explain more of the point I was trying to make, but I thought it was clear and obvious enough for our readers. u00a0Sorry you missed it.u00a0

A discussion of nude photos.u00a0 That’s something I know something about.u00a0 When I was younger and better looking, I modeled nude for a few artists in the area in which I lived.u00a0 One was a photographer.u00a0 I don’t know if he ever did anything with the photos, but I know they are out there.u00a0 If someone who knew me did a careful enough search, they might just find them.u00a0 I am not embarrassed about them, because, as I said, I was much better looking in those days.u00a0 The only thing I didn’t like about the photos thatu00a0he showed me was my jawline.u00a0 However, that being said, I would never take a nude photo with a phone.u00a0 They are too easily hacked or mishandledu00a0and the information recorded gets into the wrong hands too often.u00a0 I wish ScarJo luck with her lawsuit, because as Wade Sears stated earlier, the hacking was illegal.u00a0 Hopefully she will allow others to publish the photos, because she is au00a0beautiful woman.u00a0 People should not be ashamed of their beauty.

  • Jeffmann

I agree, Wade. Today’s TTP was insultingly dumb. It asked “What’s the big deal?” about having your privacy invaded and broadcast. This was illegal hacking and distribution of her image–something she never agreed to or asked for. That’s the big deal. I say get over yourselves, TTP. Mostly you have interesting thoughts about current topics, but today’s email was banal.

Someone hacked into a private phone.u00a0u00a0 Who knows what other info was stolen off the phone.u00a0 Law enforcement should definitely be involved.u00a0 “ScarJo” has not lost her mind.u00a0

  • Chris@TTP

God Bless you Betsy, somebody actually got my point!!! u00a0

  • Chris@TTP

Hacking is bad, it is illegal. u00a0nnNo one is condoning that here. u00a0But the FBI???? u00a0 Jesus man, do you read the newspapers and see all the other horrible crimes occurring in this country?I want the FBI that I am paying taxes to support doing far more important things that trying to protect some starlet who snapped a few mild pictures of herself and thinks the world should stop. u00a0nnAlso, EVERYONE claims to be hacked these days. u00a0Anthony Wiener anyone? u00a0It’s a convenient scapegoat. u00a0

  • Chris@TTP

Dude! u00a0The FBI. u00a0Do you call in SWAT for a bar fight? u00a0Unreal. u00a0nn

u00a0NASA to change light bulb.u00a0 Very funny.

  • yankeepizzabaker

Chris you are sounding like “maybe TTP CEO”………if that is the case, I don’t really disagree with you, if you truly acknowledge that hacking is illegal.u00a0 Anyone dumb enough to post such photos on their phone or computer has to realize that they will be exploited, sooner or later.u00a0 The hell with nudes….that is not a matter of National Security…….my concerns have only to do with the hackers who intend to compromise the security of a Country, or of any personu00a0whou00a0is involved in Security.u00a0 As much as I can not stand B.O…….his protection is very important to our Country….and will continue to be until he is voted out.u00a0 Hopefully 13 1/2 months from now.u00a0 By the way, you wouldn’t happen to be “californiapizzabaker” would you?

  • yankeepizzabaker

Never accused TTP of being banal.u00a0 For a fleeting moment I thought we were actually seeing “eye to eye.”u00a0 For anyone who considers the hacking of nude photos to beu00a0of IMPORTANCE, they have way, WAY, too much time on their hands.u00a0 By the WAY, if I did not like the humor, or the content, I would have junk mailed you a long time ago.u00a0 TTP is one of the few sites that I can dependu00a0upon to provide me with “much ado about nothing” to the point of enjoyment,u00a0as well asu00a0provoking some thought.u00a0 As for “Mother Jones”u00a0I wouldu00a0not waste a single brain cell on it.u00a0 I don’t needu00a0anyone telling me how I should think, or believe……..to coin a well worn line….They “can’t handle the TRUTH.”u00a0 That is one of the reasons that Iu00a0HAVE (past tense) enjoyed TTP….independent thought and friendly engagement.u00a0 u00a0

  • Chris@TTP

YPB,nnI have always enjoyed your two cents whether I have agreed with it or not. u00a0This site is to be nothing more than a fun way for people to learn an interesting tidbit of info, laugh and exchange thoughts and ideas.nnMy banal response was tou00a0Jeffman (read string above). u00a0Apologies for any confusion. u00a0It would have made much more sense to have responded to him directly. u00a0I was trying two kill birds with one stone (college football was on).nnPeople don’t ever have to agree with me, in fact, I enjoy it when they engage with a thoughtful counter point. u00a0nnThe point of TTP is to break of the mundane and have a little fun. u00a0We’re clearly not everybody’s cup of tea everyday, but we enjoy covering a broad range of news, pop culture, and all around odd or thoughtful topics.nnYou readership has and is appreciated. u00a0Shoot our home address and size to our Theman e-mail address and I’ll get a TTP shirt off to you in the mail if you like.nnnBest Regards,nnChris

  • yankeepizzabaker

There is no need in that…….I am just happy to hear that you enjoy an occassional jab.u00a0 Crap….if we all agreed this would be a boring world.u00a0 TTP would be likened to the ultra conservative or ultra liberal sites where few challenge the commentary.u00a0 No, TTP is one of my few pleasures during a tough day at work.u00a0 Someone puts a lot of thought into this site and that may be you…….I don’t know.u00a0 But one thing for certain it is always entertaining and interesting.u00a0 I know I have pissed off more than a few people who don’t agree with me, but those same people could end up being a good friend.u00a0 We are all in this together……to the bitter end (whatever that might be).u00a0 But without exercising our minds we become something like robots.u00a0 Please keep up what you do best and keep us all entertained and THINKING.u00a0 If TTP goes away, I am going to be miserable.

  • Chris@TTP

Thanks so much for the kind words. u00a0Notes like this make it all worthwhile. u00a0u00a0nnAgree with you the world would be a boring place if we all thought alike. u00a0nnStoked you dig the site, even more so that while you may not agree with our take, you get what we’re trying to do.nnSee you on here soon.nnChris Craign

I feel a whole heap of sympathy for Ms Johansen. What right has any body got to hack in to any body’s phone whether it has naked pictures of you in it or not. Why is Scarlet the one in the wrong here. Just because she is in the public eye does that mean she has no right to privacy with such a personal thing as her mobile phone??? that goes for any person in the media’s gaze. nnHowever , all of that should really go with out sayingu00a0and it should be the case for any one celebrity or not. But I get the point about contacting the FBI. Surely the FBI have far more important things to do than wasteing their time and resources investigating the hacking of one Miss Johansen’s phone. That’s serious overkill if ever I saw it. nnScarlet, as much as I love you my dear surely this was a matter for the domestic police force; not a threat to national security to warant the involvement of a pan-state organisation like th FBI. Surely Mulder and Skully have enough on their hands with all theu00a0extra terestrial aliensu00a0that are trying to invade the world and your country. Next time call the local law enforcement, my lovely.

  • Adam booth

Personally speaking I have not seen the pictures in question. But I would defend Scarlet’s right to have the pictures on her phone and her right not to have her phone hacked in to. I would not expect my phone to be considered as legitimate hacking fodder so I don’t see why Scarlet Johansen’s is.u00a0 Just because she is a celebrity of sorts does not give phone hacking any legitimacy in her case or any one else’s. I can’t believe this is actually being called in to question or that it’s even a topic of satire or humour or anything else.u00a0 If it were the President of the united states it would be taken a whole lot more seriously.

  • Adam booth

Why is the public’s desire to know so important?? why does the public have any right to know in this kind of case at all. It’s totally none of their business!
