Thinking About… Student – Faculty Flings

We're curious creatures. We want to know what you "think" about.

These short "yes/no/don't care" surveys provide another way for TTP readers to learn, share, or blast off. If you think we've missed a question, you can ask the community a question by clicking the "ask" tab.

Thinking About… Student-Faculty Flings

Have you seen what else we're thinking about?

I think that it is a good rule just to protect the students….and faculty can still take advantage, but lowering grades of someone just to have them sleep with them. I know, I had one try…..I was actually sleeping with another professor there who wasn’t a professor for any of my classes, I just found it low and dirty to do it this way….If you are naturally attracted and it has nothing to do with your classes, why not!

I think that if two adult consent to sex; than it is NO ONE else’s business, other than those two adults. If a professor is using sex, as a leveraging tool to for students to get better grades, or get out doing assignments than that is sexual harassment. I see that no differently than a boss demanding sexual favors for advancement in the workplace or a personal raise. However, if my boss was sleeping with a co-worker for the sake of a personal relationship, I don’t think that’s wrong either and I also don’t see that as any of my business. Relationships are private and should stay that way. Sexual harassment is wrong and should be punished and I made public.

How far away from a free country are we really??? People are oblivious to the fact we are losing more and more of our freedom. It’s the little things here and there that we are saying goodbye to. Canada is looking better and better.

“In loco parentis” concerns minors, not typical college students. Besides, how will students learn how to fix their lives unless they can screw
them up with a real good scandle first… isn’t this what a Yalie education is all about¿

What next, no ogling good looking women by men, vice-versa, and the same with the GLTG. There’s a lot more to worry about in College other than sex.
