Thinking About … The Ordinary

We want to know what you "think" about. These short "yes/no/don't care" surveys provide another way for TTP readers to learn, share, and blast off.

ANSWER. ASK. COMMENT.

Thinking About … The Ordinary

I was pleasantly surprised to see that most readers agreed upon the survey questions.u00a0 I guess we’re just a bunch of average Josephines and Joes!u00a0

So, do you guys have a friend who hasn’t eaten a PBJ?u00a0

u00a0One kid I remember growing-up could not have PB&J due to peanut allergies… poor bastard.u00a0 I remember him having the neat-freak mom and living in a super-sterile house.u00a0 But back in the 70′s, his allergies were rare compared to the super-allergic kids we have today.u00a0 I guess his mom should have let him be a more ordinary kid (getting dirty from time-to-time) and not set him up for his allergies.

Not a thing wrong with being ordinary, not all of want that much talked about 15 min.nMost everything I own is ordinary, most household items bought at second hand stores or KMart. If there is a brand name food in my kitchen it was bought at the Grocery Outlet store for 1/3 or less ofu00a0 the price of the supermarkets.nBrand name clothes? Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, Wrangler bought on sale or secondhand.nThe only thing I will spend a little more on is the cigs I smoke and the beer I drink. Some things you just shouldn’t go cheap on and generic cigs and cheap beer are over the line.nnYou want me to wear someones name on my tshirt or across my ass?nPay me! Advertising is not cheap, you want me to be a walking talking billboard, pony up the cash or take your $50 “designer” tshirt and stick it.nn

Not many of us find , fall in love with and marry that “promu00a0queen” we always dreamed of getting, I don’t think? We’re probably extremely happy with what we do end up with but it’s almost never what we initially imagine we’re gonna get. What we get is usually so much more middle of the road . Compromise is good! You should go with that menality! Now keep it real dudes and dudettes!nPeace out……
